Description
During the Second World War most of the production at Longbridge was given over to military equipment, so this car, from 1943, is quite rare, but it is also the rarer 2 door version. Although there is no history confirming or contradicting this, it is possible this car was originally owned by the War Office. Painted black, and with a blue interior, this comfortable, smart, and attractive car has proven very reliable and is often used on road runs in and around Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire where it copes with the many steep hills admirably, even in the middle of winter.
Prior to my ownership it was owned by a velocette motorcycle expert who had allegedly purchased it from the estate of the late Suzuki boss in the UK. This car is tested until May 2009 and taxed (zero rate) till April 2009.
