1937 Peugeot P112

  • Retains original French licence plates from Département Somme
  • Original owner's badge still present
  • Starts, drives, and lights function correctly, we are told
  • Supplied with new German registration papers

The Appeal

The Peugeot P112 is a product of one of France's oldest passenger transport manufacturers, and finding a surviving example that still runs and rides is an increasingly rare prospect. This particular machine is believed to be a special anniversary edition, distinguished by metal badges adorning the fuel tank.
Sourced at the Veterama event in 2025, this P112 had previously been kept in a seller's office for years and presents very much as a barn find, with an older repaint adding to its patina. It retains its original French licence plates from Département Somme and, notably, a badge from its original owner, Yves Leleu of Escarbotin. The current owner has only driven it twice on their property and has carried out no mechanical work beyond applying lubricants, yet the motorcycle reportedly starts, drives, and has functioning lights. It is supplied with new German registration papers.

Key Information

  • Mileage: 2,209 km indicated; the odometer has been replaced and the reading is not believed to be accurate
  • Country of registration: Germany
  • Technical inspection status: valid until February 2027
  • Technical specs: 2,350 cc single-cylinder, three-speed manual
  • Paperwork: new German registration papers, original French licence plates, and original owner's badge

The Detail

We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own  full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
