Good colours make the car, and this Triumph TR3 gleams in one of the most elegant shades we have come across. Better still, this gleaming coat of Winchester Blue is correct for the car, as confirmed by a BMIHT certificate.
The TR3 is among the most revered British sports cars of the 1950s. With its 95 bhp from the Standard wet-liner four-cylinder engine and its assertive roadster silhouette, the TR3 significantly improved on the earlier TR2 with more power and better braking, earning a devoted following that endures to this day.
This 1957 example has been freshly restored to a high standard. The exterior has been repainted in the aforementioned factory colour, and the interior has been retrimmed in vintage black leather with new carpets. The car comes with a new canvas hood and tonneau cover. The vendor states that the car is in very good condition and that it drives and changes gear smoothly through its four-speed manual gearbox. For those seeking a well-presented and recently restored TR3, this example merits close attention.IMG_1035.jpeg5.11 MB
