Character

With its clean, angular styling and generous V8 under the bonnet, the 1966 Thunderbird was a refined personal luxury car, combining the comfort of a full-size grand tourer with an undeniable road presence. Rather than carrying on the pronounced styling of its predecessors, the fourth-generation Thunderbird adopted a bulkier, more angular line, with a resolutely futuristic yet opulent look. Its long bonnet and long boot silhouette remains instantly recognisable, with a healthy dose of retro Americana.

This example has been in the current owner's hands for a decade, during which time it has been lovingly cared for. It was previously restored around 15 years ago, and a photo record documenting the work will accompany the car. The seller notes that the car has been well kept since that restoration and that the leather and carpets are in good condition.

These bold models are rarer than ever today and should attract plenty of interest at the auction.
