The appeal
The W111 coupé is one of Mercedes-Benz’s most admired post-war designs. The 280SE variant, produced in limited numbers between 1968 and 1971, combined a refined 2.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine with a pillarless coupé design that remains highly sought-after today. With only 3,797 of these coupés ever built, they are becoming increasingly rare finds on the open market.
This 1969 example, finished in green with a beige interior, is in good condition for its age. Registered in Belgium with classic car status and matching serial numbers noted, this W111 coupé offers an interesting opportunity to acquire one of Stuttgart’s most elegant grand tourers.
