The Appeal

The Merlin Roadster is a charming kit-built sports car conceived in the spirit of traditional British open-top motoring. With attractive pre-war-style lines, high-end dynamics, and plenty of character, the Merlin is powered by a Ford Pinto engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, creating a fun, impressive sports car loaded with personality.

This example has been well looked after by its current keeper, who acquired it in May 2025. A complete respray was carried out in summer 2025, during which all metalwork was inspected, and the car has been garaged throughout. Mechanically, it has benefited from a new brake servo, a replacement fuel pump, oil leak repairs, a new exhaust mount and a full brake service. The interior presents well, featuring leather seats, carpeting and a wooden steering wheel.

The sale is accompanied by a good collection of paperwork, an assembly manual, and an original 1982 issue of Kit Cars magazine featuring the Merlin - a handsome package for the enthusiast indeed.
