The Appeal
The Tiger 650 is the economical and, for some, more practical alternative to the bigger Bonneville, and a firm favourite with fans of classic tourers. It's stylish too, as this tidy 1972 bike shows.
The seller's father partly restored it in 2015, since when it has been little used. We love the dark purple and cream colour scheme and the range of original features, such as the Lucas switchgear and Smiths dials. The bike hasn't been run in some years, so it may benefit from some checks. There are a few signs of age, but nothing that won't appeal to a handy enthusiast who wants to add some value to a popular classic British bike.
