The Appeal
The Suzuki GT250 holds a special place in the hearts of many riders who came of age in the 1970s. With its characterful two-stroke parallel twin and accessible performance, it was the machine that introduced a generation of speed-crazed teenagers to the thrill of motorcycling - and the distinctive shrill of a two-stroke on song remains one of life's great pleasures.
This 1973 example, finished in eye-catching red, has been comprehensively restored by its previous owner on the Isle of Wight over a period of several years, including a full engine rebuild. The 760-mile odometer reading reflects the distance covered since that reconditioning. The current owner has added further finishing touches, recovering the seat and chroming the crankcase. A stainless steel rear rack and small LED daytime running lights have also been fitted.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
