Commendably straight bodywork for a vehicle of this nature
Appears highly original, retaining military drab green livery
Lesser-seen right-hand drive example
The Appeal
If you thought Series Land Rovers were capable, you should see a 101 in action...
The Forward Control was built for the armed forces as an artillery tractor and logistics platform. It was designed to operate in some highly hostile environments, and its off-road capability is quite remarkable.
This right-hand drive 1977 example is offered from Ireland. As the photographs attest, it retains its military character and appears remarkably well preserved. The vendor reports the chassis to be in very good order, and we note the original military switches and tools to be present.
Whether destined for a collection, the show circuit, or serious off-road expeditions, this Forward Control is a seriously cool thing.image.png1.67 MB

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle's status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
