The 1978 model year marked a significant milestone for the Corvette, celebrating 25 years of continuous production since the original debuted in 1953. The anniversary year also saw the introduction of the large wraparound fastback rear window on the C3, improving both the car's lines and rearward visibility. It proved to be the most popular Corvette year to date, yet well-specified examples with desirable factory options remain keenly sought by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
