The Appeal

The Series 3 County 88" sits at the more refined end of Land Rover's utilitarian workhorse. The County specification added soft furnishings and improved trim to the famously capable off-roader, making it equally suited to leisure use as to life in hardworking pastoral Britain. Particularly well-known for its signature two-tone colour scheme, the County is recognisable and beloved.
This 1982 example benefits from a comprehensive restoration carried out in 2018, centred on a new galvanised chassis and bulkhead -  addressing the two most critical structural concerns of any Series Land Rover. It comes accompanied by a sizeable maintenance and restoration file, the original Series 3 handbook, numerous historic and recent parts invoices, and previous MOTs.

Since acquisition in early 2023, this handsome example has been carefully stored under a large cover on a private road and used only at weekends. Recently serviced and ready and waiting to go, we expect it'll garner plenty of interest at auction.
