The Appeal
The R107 SL is among the most recognised grand tourers Mercedes-Benz ever produced. Across its remarkable 18-year production span, the 380SL variant offered a compelling combination of smooth V8 power and open-air refinement. This 1984 example, finished in Astral Silver Metallic over a Dark Blue soft top, is a well-specified car, having left the Stuttgart factory laden with optional equipment including automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, a Becker Mexico Grand Prix electronic radio, and 15-hole light alloy wheels.
