The Appeal
The R107 SL is one of Mercedes-Benz's most celebrated open-top grand tourers. Produced across an 18-year span from 1971 to 1989, the later 300SL models benefited from the smooth M103 inline-six and the accumulated improvements of nearly two decades of continuous development. This 1988 example sits near the very end of R107 production, representing the final and most refined iteration of the series.
Finished in Arctic White, this 300SL is described as an honest, usable car in tidy overall condition. The interior retains its period-correct upholstery, lending the cabin an authentic character.
