The Appeal
If you’re more familiar with the glitzy G-Wagons ploughing the Chelsea Road, then this W461 is very different. It is one of the heavy-duty ‘Wolf’ models built for the Singapore military as airside-ready and air-transportable vehicles. Unlike the civilian models, these ones feature locking differentials, rigid heavy-duty live axles front and rear, a foldable windscreen and a soft top to reduce weight.
Finished in military green, this exceptionally tidy low-mileage 240GD would make an interesting and highly capable alternative to more common Land Rover models. It is in really good order, which tends to support the low displayed mileage, and retains its original features. It was bought by the seller in 2022 and is UK-registerd. Since arriving here it has been used on a private estate and garaged when not in use.
With current MOT to July 2027, here is a chance to acquire a very capable workhorse or potential show star.
The vendor says:
“Great fun vehicle for the those lazy days, shows and exploring.”
