Bulletproof 2L slant four engine and 3spd auto box
Stylish four seat convertible in good order
Recent replacement tyres
Current MOT to May 2027
The Appeal
The list of classic open-top cars that can properly seat four people tends to be a short one and at the top of it, or certainly very near it, is Saab's ultra-durable classic 900. Lopping the roof off the popular two-door saloon created a stylish drop-top with the sort of character and ingenuity that few contemporaries can match.
Saab offered its bulletproof 2L 'slant four' 16V engine in many guises. This 1990 convertible has the naturally aspirated 130bhp version, mated to a relaxing auto box. It is a very tidy and apparently original three-keeper car. The bodywork presents well in the usual 900 check areas, and the car has recently fitted tyres. There is an advisory to note on the MOT, but with test to May 2027, there is plenty of time for the buyer to consider how they want to deal with it. image.png5.66 MB

✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle's status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
