The Appeal
Heralded by Top Gear as the unkillable car, the Toyota Hilux 2.4 has earned a formidable reputation for dependability and toughness, making well-kept examples increasingly prized. Finding one that remains largely unmodified is no small feat, so this 1998 example fits the bill.
In the current owner's hands since early 2014, this Hilux has been barn-stored and carefully maintained throughout, with invoices documenting all parts and work carried out. The vendor reports that the main body presents well and is still wearing its original paint, while the chassis is described as being in very good condition, having been protected a coat of underseal. Inside, the cabin is said to be in very good order, with only minor wear noted on the outside edge of the driver's seat squab. Mechanically, both front brake callipers have been recently replaced, and the engine is reported to start readily and run smoothly.
With a long MOT through to July 2027 and only a reversing camera added, this Hilux is arguably unrepeatable.image.png1.68 MB
