The Appeal
The beautiful DB7 was a huge sales success and makes a very compelling classic. Those volumes mean that collectors are drawn to rare specifications, which is where this car firmly scores. Aside from being one of the 348 LHD cars with the 6-speed manual gearbox, just two DB7s were factory finished in the special order combination of Pentland Green metallic with matching roof and two-tone Forest Green and Rolls-Royce Barley leather interior. That provenance is verified by an Aston Martin Heritage Trust certificate.
With only 54,000 miles covered in the intervening 27 years, this attractive car is in very good, collector-quality condition. That bespoke interior looks barely used, likewise the paintwork, Even vulnerable and high traffic areas like the alloy rims and driver’s bolster present well.
Mechanically, the car has been recently recommissioned at significant cost. Over 133 hrs of work was involved which is summarised below and shown in photos. The car is registered in Poland and carries technical registration to April 2027. A very fine and extremely well specified V12 DB7.
The vendor says:
“Few Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volantes combine such an attractive collection of qualities.
The rarity of the manual V12 drivetrain, the elegance of the Pentland Green paintwork and the beautifully preserved Forest Green / Rolls-Royce Barley interior already make this an appealing example.
“What truly elevates the car, however, is the official confirmation that only one other DB7 Vantage Volante was ever produced in this exact factory colour combination.
Combined with its individual hand-built commission, extensive documentation and documented mechanical attention, this Aston Martin offers a particularly compelling opportunity for the discerning enthusiast or collector.
“An exceptionally individual British V12 grand tourer — one of just 221 left-hand-drive manual examples, and one of only two worldwide in its original factory colour combination.”
