The appeal
The original Audi TT is a car that rarely comes along. It skilfully channelled the style of the NSU TT into a completely modern and very different car – well-built, extremely easy to own and a pleasure to drive. All these qualities explain why enthusiasts keep returning to these elegant modern classics, and why good examples really stand out.
This 2001 Mk1 convertible is a very fine example in classic silver with a black leather and suede interior. It features the much-loved 1.8 BAM turbo engine producing 150ch, mated to a five-speed gearbox. Both inside and out, it is well maintained and pleasantly unmodified, right down to the original five-spoke alloy wheels. The usual high-wear areas of the TT, such as the sills, wheel arches and underbody, are in good condition.
The car is coming onto the market having recently undergone a service and with a comprehensive MOT valid until April 2026. This lovely TT is one of the finest we’ve seen in a long time.
