The appeal

Ducati’s tribute to its champion superstar, Carl Fogarty, had to be exceptional. And it certainly was. The ‘Foggy Monster’ combined the brand’s superb 916cc Desmodromic V-twin engine with a trellis frame and decals designed by Aldo Drudi, the designer of Rossi’s helmets, to produce what is arguably one of the greatest special editions of the last 30 years.
Only 300 were made, all sold exclusively online. Thirteen were allocated to France, and this example, with very low mileage and a single owner, is number three. The seller describes it as being in concours condition and reports that it is entirely original. It has recently been serviced and fitted with new tyres. It comes with all factory accessories, including the ‘race kit’ with its Termignoni exhausts, which could increase power from 101 ch to 110 ch.
With standard French registration, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most sought-after modern Ducatis amongst collectors.
The seller states:
“An exceptional motorbike, virtually impossible to find in this condition. The first motorbike sold exclusively online.”
