The Appeal

If you’re after an engaging, comfortable modern classic saloon, it’s hard to think of a better option than BMW’s highly regarded E46. Well built, great handling and sweet six-pot engines ensure these cars make any journey entertaining.

Yet good four-door saloons like this 2002 325 are surprisingly rare finds, thanks largely to most being driven hard and far. This Topaz Blue automatic has escaped that fate, showing just 64,000 miles amassed by a handful of keepers. The condition reflects that sparse use, the paintwork and bodywork presenting well across the usual E46 check areas and the well-appointed tan leather cabin also in good order. The car is pleasingly original and unmodified, featuring five-spoke double-spoke 17in alloys, factory head unit with navigation and light elm wood veneers.
