The Appeal

The Jeep Wrangler TR2, the Tomb Raider 2 Edition, is one of the more collectible special editions of the TJ-generation Wrangler, produced to tie in with the 2003 film sequel. Paired with the legendary 4.0-litre inline-six engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, it offers one of the most sought-after powertrain combinations in Jeep's history.

This example has been in the current owner's care since 2013 and has covered 63,600 miles. The vehicle remains entirely unmodified and has never been properly off-roaded, uncommon for the model. During the current ownership, a range of maintenance work has been carried out, as outlined in The Detail section below. The vendor describes the 4.0-litre six as torquey and reports that the four-wheel drive system functions as expected.
