The Appeal

The success of the R230 is self-evident - that clever Vario roof transforms the car between coupe and convertible at the touch of a button, adding further appeal to the never version of Mercedes’ long line of comfortable, quick and relaxing sports cars.

The SL500 has long been a popular choice because it offers V8 power, but without the hard ride and complexity of the AMG models. This 2003 car is classically finished in Tellurium Silver with black leather and was factory supplied with options including cruise control, comfort and wood packs. They added over $7,000 to the list price. Included are its original window sticker and Mercedes-Benz datacard, documenting the full factory specification.
