The Appeal
Subaru named the Outback well - this hybrid AWD SUV/estate is both rugged all-road mud-plugger, practical load lugger and comfortable family wagon. Reliable and with the sort of car-like handling you’d expect from the makers of the Impreza, these cars are well-regarded by informed buyers.
This 2007 Outback is the plush SE model, which means full leather, panoramic roof, duel zone climate and cruise control. Beneath the bonnet is Subaru’s reliable 2.5L ‘Boxer engine, shared with the Impreza WRX, here in 165bhp format. This car also features the versatile 4spd ‘SportShift’ automatic, which offers full automatic or semi-automatic sequential shift options.
Finished in generally well kept Newport Blue metallic with black leather cabin, it is a tidy example that has been with the current keeper, the third, since 2016. He tells us that it runs and drives well and is nice to drive. The MOT runs to July 2027 with advisories to note.
As an antidote to either a SUV, an estate or even a Land Rover, this unusual Outback looks perfect as the seasons turn to colder weather.
