The Appeal
This one-off 90 XS leans firmly into the ‘one life, live it’ theme for which the Defender is synonymous. Extensively upgraded by Urban Truck and more recently by Lucari at a cost of £35,000 and finished in classic Grasmere Green with tan leather, it is a very distinctive and highly specified low-mileage 4x4.
The vendor tells us that the mileage is under 50,000, amassed by just four keepers. A previous keeper dispatched it to Urban Truck in 2017 for £15,000 of work, while the current keeper, who bought it in 2024, sent it to specialist Lucari in 2025 for £20,000 of development work. The interior features new wooden floors, a bikini roof, leather dashboard, replacement screen and new seats and door cards. Outside, the classic paintwork, resprayed in 2017, is detailed with a set of deep-dish Wolf-style alloys shod with quality BF Goodrich tyres.
We are told the Defender has been well maintained throughout its life. The current MOT runs to April 2027 with a few advisories to note. A new clutch and flywheel were fitted in 2025.
