It's easy to forget what a seismic impact the Bentley Continental GT made when it debuted in 2003. The GT was the first model to come out of Crewe following Volkswagen's acquisition of Bentley, and the company's first mass-production model didn't disappoint. The original coupe was augmented in 2005 by the convertible GTC, and a rare opportunity to purchase one of these stunning drop-tops has now arisen.
Finished in Glacier White with a contrasting black folding roof and a black interior, this GTC Speed appears to have been well preserved during its eight-owner life. The engine bay is clean and presentable, with the six-litre twin-turbo W12 still retaining its original notification stickers and Bentley decals. Similarly, the white paint is original and reportedly has no blemishes.
On the move, the GTC is described as driving like new, running smoothly and accelerating rapidly. The current owner has fitted replacement brake discs and pads to scrub off speed, whilst the roof has also been overhauled. There are only minor marks on the 20-inch alloy wheels, all of which are shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
This car's interior is presented in good order, with no obvious signs of wear across its double-stitched diamond leather seating and matching door/cabin inserts. There is a pleasing reflective sheen to the gloss black panel facing the passenger seat. The roof has been overhauled in recent years, and whilst the current owner acknowledges some age-related marks, the interior has no rips or tears. The boot looks to have been barely used, and the original warning triangle is still attached to the inner boot lid. image.png3.02 MB
