The Appeal
After years of GT-orientated sports cars, the F-Type, as the name suggests, was a focused E-Type update, a car that would take the fight to the 911, just like the original back in the 60s. It worked; the car was lauded for its handling, with the 3L V6 singled out as the gem of the range for its real-world mix of performance and economy.
This 3L V6 convertible is a very low-mileage car in the desirable silver-and-black-leather combination.
But it's so much more than that...
The car was taken to Jaguar tuning specialist Viezu for major works, including upgrading the engine to 465 bhp achieved via a pulley change on the supercharger and the addition of an intercooler. Further upgrades included suspension mods for improved handling. Unfortunately, an error was made, and the engine required replacement. This was duly carried out, and the new powerplant received the same treatment. It is offered in 420 bhp guise, with scope for up to 465 bhp if desired. During the past six years following the engine replacement, the car has been serviced by Jaguar main dealers and has covered a mere 3,000 miles.
The result is a very well-maintained and seriously quick F-Type with a fresh upgraded engine that brings performance more than in line with the V8-engined F-Type variants.
Aside from servicing and the aforementioned work, our vendor has spent over £3,000 at Sytner Jaguar on repairs to the gearbox, clutch, A/C system, and washers.
