The Appeal

The Super Seven is the absolute antithesis of the supercar, yet it is every bit as thrilling as, if not more so than, a Veyron, Revuelto or SF90. Those cars add power, whereas the Caterham, of course, adds lightness in the spirit of Colin Chapman’s groundbreaking original. Other, more powerful Caterhams exist, but there’s a strong case that the 135bhp Super Seven is closest to that original vision, and all you really need.
This 2016 example, finished in a striking Nardo Grey, has covered just 2,444 miles from new. Powered by the 1,598cc Ford Sigma H Block engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the seller describes it as road- and track-ready. It was bought by the current owner from Caterham at Silverstone in July 2020 and used sparingly but reportedly well maintained. The last service was in September 2025, since when it has covered less than 100 miles. The current MOT contains no advisories and runs to September 2027.
The car presents very well, as you’d expect given its low mileage, and comes with desirable accessories like a vinyl roof, side doors and roll cage. A great, well-preserved example of these hugely exciting cars.
The seller says:
“It is a dream to drive, very fast, with beautiful handling, and always attracting lovely comments from passers-by.”
