The Lot

Richard "Dickie" Attwood is one of British motorsport's most revered figures. His victory at the 1970 Le Mans 24 Hours, at the wheel of a Porsche 917, cemented his place in racing history and forged an enduring connection between his name and the Porsche marque. This charity lot offers the chance to own a tangible piece of that legacy.
Presented here is a steel bonnet from a Porsche 911 SC, transformed into a piece of wall art by Bonnet & Boot, specialists in bespoke automotive displays crafted from authentic panels. The bonnet will be personally signed by Mr Attwood himself during Megaphonics '26, making this a truly unique piece with a tangible connection to Porsche racing history.
All proceeds from this lot will go to Hope for Tomorrow, a charity that provides mobile cancer care units across the UK, bringing vital treatment and support closer to patients and their families. In Richard Attwood's own words: "It's incredibly special to see a piece of my racing history transformed into something so unique, while at the same time helping to raise much-needed funds for Hope for Tomorrow and the life-changing work they do for people affected by cancer."
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a remarkable piece of automotive art, signed by a Le Mans legend, in support of a cause that makes a real difference.
