Delivered by Smithfield Garage VW Audi of Birmingham on the 8th December 1982 to a Mrs Carr who cherished it for the following 20 years.
This really quite remarkable example had covered a mere 15000 miles by the end of 1995 , 18615 by May 2006 and to date has covered a total of 23555 in the hands of 4 previous owners.
Needless to say cars like this rarely come to market and indeed would be impossible to replicate even if one had an open cheque book. Unrestored cars such as this are arguably far superior to drive as originality is key these days, once restored there is no going back.
