1979 V reg Mini Special 1100
What a find ! This super rare Mini is now available for sale following a comprehensive overhaul and fettle. Finished in Rose with check upholstery and featuring all the requisite Special features including uprated 1100cc engine, 10 inch Exacton alloys, Clubman bumpers, wheel arches, vinyl roof, Special badging, 3 clock binnacle, Special steering wheel and centre console plus passenger side under tray.
When new, this was the most comprehensive equipped Mini ever manufactured and was launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mini in 1979.
Only 58k miles and comes with an MOT through to July 2024, although the Mini is now tax and MOT exempt due to its age.
Great registration number plus matching numbers with lots of history including previous MOT certificates to confirm the mileage. Correctly registered as a Historic vehicle.
In good overall condition and benefitting from a minor restoration in 2018 which means the paint is even and shiny. In addition we have gone through the car from front to back to ensure all is well at a cost of over £2k including gearbox overhaul, engine work, full service, new steering rack, plus cylinder head work and brake service. As a result the Mini runs really well and the 1100 engine is torquey and nippy. Just as a well sorted Mini should be !!
