As an Airhead specialist, it’s always exciting to be able to offer exceptionally low mileage, original machines, and this is a perfect example of just that. I’ve had this wonderful RT a few times over the years, and I’m delighted to have it back in stock.
This is the very last of the Airhead range, and as such is in the unique two tone metallic grey “Classic” livery, and loaded with factory options.
The bike is a UK from new, with a genuine 16k miles from new. Surely the lowest mileage R100RT on the planet ! Make no mistake, although this is almost thirty years old, it looks and rides like a bike only a fraction of that age. Having said that, this is from an era when BMW made bikes up to a quality, and not down to a price. These were an eye watering £8750………thirty years ago!
The original two tone grey coachwork is almost unmarked, and controls, footrests, switches, etc, all reflect the very low mileage. Being the run out model , the bike is loaded with some great factory options / extras. These include crash bars, heated grips, full stainless exhaust system, colour matched panniers, factory top case, comfort seat (standard seat included), twin front discs, auxiliary clocks, etc. the bike is ready to go, and will have a fresh MOT at point of sale.
All in all, this is an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a totally original example of the last of the Airhead breed. I doubt if there’ll be a better example out there, and as ever, I’m offering it at what I consider to be a a VERY competitive price. Even at this price, I’ll consider YOUR Airhead BMW in part exchange.
