It is indeed the super rare Standard Vanguard Vignale Estate Car fitted with the 4 speed floor change gearbox and overdrive, engine fully re-built with the upgraded piston liners fitted giving a capacity of (2138cc) along with modified head and converted to unleaded fuel spec - so she has plenty of get up and go.
Many times exhibited at the Goodwood Revival with a 1957 Cooper 500 race car mounted on a period specially built little wire wheel car trailer, the perfect combination and totally looking the part. Its even chauffeured VIP’s around the circuit such as Sir Stirling Moss and other well know faces in the motoring world.
Finished in Nimbus white over Powder blue the coachwork is in absolutely splendid condition and has certainly been well cared for and preserved. All the brightwork maintains a mirror shine just as the photos depict. Underside shows no sign of repairs and is protected from the elements with a good coating of wax oil. Seats, carpets, door cards, headlining, are all like new - clearly someone has invested heavily in this car .
