Werk Sindelfingen Mercedes-Benz, of Stuttgart carried out the PDI check on the 13th of November 1995. 5 months later, at 2319 miles, the Mercedes headed to Herbrand Mercedes-Benz in Kevelaer, north of Dortmund, for its first Service. By 1996 the Mercedes landed in the UK, where Lancaster Lakeside Limited, a Mercedes-Benz Main Dealer, carried out the next 4 services at 4175, 10747, 16902, and 23850 miles. At just 5 years old, the E220 had covered 29758 miles when it again was taken to a Mercedes-Benz Main Dealer for servicing. Powering the Mercedes is a 2. 2L in-line 4-cylidner engine putting 150bhp through the 4-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The performance of the E220 is akin to that of a swan, brilliant elegance and grace making it the perfect grand tourer. With creature comforts aplenty, ultimate convenience for the driver is provided by electric seats, windows, wing mirrors, and roof along with heated seats and cruise control.
