Introduced at the March 1999, Geneva Salon, the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage eschewed its predecessor's 3, 228cc supercharged straight-six for a 5, 935cc 48-valve, all-alloy V12 developing 420bhp and 400lb. ft. Available with a choice of six-speed manual, five-speed automatic, or (later) Touchtronic semi-auto transmission, the DB7 Vantage could be had in Coupe or Volante (Convertible) guises. The latter had its top speed limited to 165mph but could reportedly accelerate from 0-60mph in 5. 1 seconds. To cope with such performance, the two-plus-two's structure, suspension, and brakes were all upgraded. Asked to rework his masterpiece, stylist Ian Callum added a reshaped back bumper, more pronounced sills, combined driving lamps/ indicators, and horizontal bars to the radiator grille. Notable as the marque's first V12 production model, the DB7 Vantage lasted until 2003 by which time some 229 RHD coupes were made.
Supplied by Stratstone Aston Martin of Grays Inn Road, London and one of only 229 RHD V12 Vantage manuals made - a rare car in standard form and even rarer in the 'GTS' guise presented here. Finished in Antrim blue over a combination of Fawn and Pacific leather with walnut trimmed dashboard and doors which all presents well belying its 26 year age. Fully serviced by Aston Martin centres up until 2013 since when it has been seldom used although the vendor has had it serviced by MC Wilkinson (renowned Jaguar restoration firm) in March 2026 at a cost of nearly £2, 000. Further benefiting from over £7, 000 worth of expenditure since 2020, including invoices on file for new fuel pumps and filter, deep cleaning of the interior and expensive and extensive wiring repairs in 2020 due to mouse damage (despite it being sealed in a carcoon), it is now said to be in very good order and has covered just c. 23, 000 miles from new.
