Lot 939

A 1923 Talbot 8/ 18 two-seat tourer.
Reg No. XK 153.
Car No. 15135.
Engine No. 1133HB.
Maroon with black interior.

Originally a design of the Sunbeam engineer, Louis Coatalen, the 8/ 18 was regarded as one of the higher quality light cars of the 1920’s.

With its 970cc OHV engine, the car is not particularly fast but makes up for its reluctance in this department with thrilling performance down-hill and in the wet. Two-wheel brakes and thin tyres also contribute to the excitement.
