A 1935 Wolseley Hornet. 14hp Special Daytona Sports.

Maroon and black with black interior.
For 1934 the Hornet Special chassis was strengthened, the engine was given a new block and cross-flow cylinder head, and the capacity increased to 1. 6L. The gearbox was also updated with synchromesh on 3rd and 4th gears.
We believe that this Special carries Eustace Watkins bodywork, commissioned from Abbey Coachworks. The vendor fitted new tyres and refurbished the hydraulic brakes. Having spent 13 years in Denmark, the car is fitted with daylight running lights and side marker indicators to comply with Danish vehicle laws.
Last driven in October 2025, the Special represents an iconic iteration of the 1930’s British Sports car.
