Description
THE TRIUMPH Herald 12/ 50 was, in effect, the Herald GT of its day. The up-market model raised the bhp of the basic Herald 1200 from 39 to 51bhp, hence giving it something of a kick! It also came with a webasto roof as standard, a different front grille, disc brakes, 12/ 50 badges and so on.
To this day it tends to remain as people's favourite Herald. Most of them were also in 2-tone paint which also set them apart from the basic model. This one is a beauty and also solid in all the right places. Drives superbly and has the sort of feel to it that you gives you confidence to drive distances. A very pretty example with a super interior, she shows excellent oil pressure on the road too. These perky little 12/ 50s give you the feeling that you are driving a low slung sports saloon. I love them and this is the third one I have had on offer during the past couple of months. The previous two have since sold.
