Finished in timeless Alpine White over a beautifully kept Blue cloth interior, this wonderfully original E30 318i is a superb example of BMW’s iconic saloon. Having covered just 58k miles from new, it presents in outstanding order throughout and offers the sort of originality that has become increasingly difficult to find.
Aside from the fitment of a period JVC radio, the car is entirely standard and almost looks untouched in many areas. A true ‘time warp’ example. The car sits on a set of matching Uniroyal tyres too which complement the original 14-inch BMW alloy wheels.
Inside, the condition is exceptional.
The headlining is beautifully clean with no sagging or staining, while the blue cloth upholstery remains free from rips, tears or excessive wear.
Externally, the bodywork is equally impressive. The arches, sills and panel shuts are all wonderfully clean and free from corrosion. In the interests of complete transparency, there is some very minor paint peeling within the engine bay and a small amount of the bonnet insulation foam has begun to deteriorate. We are being deliberately critical here and it is somewhat refreshing to find a completely original, unrestored example in this condition.
The chrome trim is particularly noteworthy, remaining beautifully bright with no pitting to speak of, suggesting the car has been exceptionally well cared for and stored. A lovely finishing touch is the retention of its original Derek Woodman BMW Centre Blackpool supplying dealer number plates.
Mechanically, the car benefits from a full service completed in February 2026. It is supplied with its original book pack, owner’s manuals and service booklet containing numerous early BMW service stamps, alongside a comprehensive history file of more recent maintenance invoices.
Original, low-mileage, unspoilt E30 saloons continue to become increasingly scarce, particularly examples that have escaped modification. This is an honest, highly original motor car that would sit proudly in any collection whilst remaining perfectly usable and enjoyable.
