Founded in 1909 by H. F. S. Morgan, the Morgan Motor Company has been producing hand-crafted British sports cars for well over a century. From the famous early three-wheelers to the iconic four-wheeled models that followed, Morgan has earned an enviable reputation for timeless styling, traditional craftsmanship and an engaging driving experience unlike any other.
Introduced in 1968, the Morgan Plus 8 combined the lightweight Morgan chassis with the legendary Rover V8 engine to create one of Britain’s most charismatic sports cars. Remaining in production until 2004, the Plus 8 became renowned for its effortless performance, abundant torque and wonderfully involving character.
Offered here is a particularly appealing 1991 Morgan Plus 8 3. 9 Litre, purchased new by its present owner and remaining in the same ownership ever since.
Having visited the Morgan Works at Malvern and witnessed first-hand the remarkable craftsmanship involved in building these cars, the owner placed his order through respected Morgan agent John Dangerfield Garages of Bristol. Before taking delivery, he was invited to a customer track day at Castle Combe Circuit, where prospective owners were given the opportunity to drive a Plus 8 – an experience that confirmed he had made exactly the right choice.
Ordered in October 1991, the car was specified with an impressive list of factory options including:

One particularly delightful feature is that the entire build process was photographed, with these photographs retained in the comprehensive history file alongside the original sales invoice from John Dangerfield Garages, servicing records and supporting documentation.
Having covered just 33, 000 miles from new, this exceptionally original one-owner Morgan has clearly been cherished throughout its life. It is supplied with a current MOT valid until July 2027.
