1977 Land Rover Series 3 88" petrol
Era classics are proud to offer for sale another fully restored Series 3 from my trusted restorer who has extensively restored many Series Land Rovers over the past 15 years.
Full professional nut and bolt rebuild just completed and superbly finished in classic cool Keswick green, a stunning colour that really suits the Series 3. Sat on chunky colour coordinated 16x7 Modular rims with all new Comforser CF3000 235/ 85 mud terrain tyres really make it stand out from standard examples.
Built up on a Davey galvanised chassis, galvanised bulkhead and radiator panel this beautiful Series 3 has undergone a full strip down and rebuild with lots of additional touches giving a really cool bespoke finish and style upgrades to this classic icon.
Overview of key works completed:
New stamped Davey galvanised chassis and a galvanised bulkhead, radiator panel.
New doors, hinges, door tops, panels and galvanised tub supports.
Fully rebuilt 3 bearing engine including lots of turner engineering parts. Unleaded head conversion, head skim, new bearings, pistons, rings, valves, crank reground, water pump, oil and fuel pump etc. Runs beautifully.
Rebuilt Fairey overdrive
Restored and rebuilt 4 speed syncro gearbox.
Rebuilt steering and pedal box.
New LOF clutch and clutch kit.
All running gear completely rebuilt including axles with new bearings, seals, swivel hubs and all new brakes, pipes etc.
New GB parabolic springs and new exhaust.
Deluxe front seat upgrade in durable Oxford tan vinyl with tan rear bench seats and front inertia seat belts and rear inertia lap belts.
Heritage steering wheel and refurbished dash board in leather to add to a more luxurious feel in the cab.
Whole body taken back to bare metal and epoxy primed with 3 further coats of 2 pack paint to a lovely gloss finish.
All panels painted individually before being fitted up and all dome rivets in correct aluminium and not painted over.
Top quality new Under Covers canvas hood in sand colour with side windows.
All galvanised cappings, window frames and original hood sticks re-galvanised as new and all other bright work and fixings re plated in zinc.
