Description
Presenting a genuinely late-production Land Rover Defender 90 XS, finished in Santorini Black and enhanced with a comprehensive Urban Automotive conversion throughout. This top-specification four-seat example presents in exceptional order, supported by a documented mileage of just 40, 075 and a full service history.
The cabin is trimmed throughout in leather and equipped with air-conditioned, heated front seats, together with heated front and rear screens. Further specification includes electric front windows and a Momo Jet steering wheel. The individual rear seats are forward-facing, fitted with inertia reel seat belting and fold flat for vertical storage, maximising load versatility. Additional features include a centre cubby box, Urban Truck floor mats, and a Bluetooth-enabled Alpine radio/ CD head unit with USB connectivity, offering a degree of modern convenience without compromising the character of the original cabin.
The vehicle is powered by the 2. 2-litre Puma TDCi engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, permanent four-wheel drive, high and low ratio gearing and a locking centre differential. Notably, this example has undergone a Stage One engine remap carried out by Nene Overland, increasing power output from a standard 122 bhp and 265 lb ft to 160 bhp and 309 lb ft. This upgrade delivers improved throttle response, enhanced low-end torque, and increased efficiency, benefiting motorway driving, towing and everyday use alike.
The vehicle rides on 18-inch Shark Tooth gloss black alloy wheels, fitted with Goodrich All-Terrain tyres
As part of the pre-sales preparation, the vehicle has benefited from a professional paintwork detail carried out by our detailing partner, Cotswold Bespoke. In addition, and particularly important given the limited factory underside protection these Defenders received, the underside was ice-blast cleaned by our specialist partner, Auto Ice Blast. Following this, the underside and all exposed metal componentry were treated with a comprehensive coating regime using a long-lasting anti-corrosion protection, while all chassis cavities were wax-injected for added long-term preservation.
With production of this era of Defender having ceased in 2016, this top-spec example — enhanced by Urban upgrades, low mileage, full service history and comprehensive pre-sales preparation — represents a rare and increasingly sought-after proposition as original Defender production recedes further into history.
