Vincent Black Shadow. Vincent black Shadow. 1953. Had a frame swap in 1976 (Rapide frame matching numbers). Some history, Old brown logbook showing originally purchase as a Black shadow and old MOTs. BTH electronic magneto. Dave Hills centre stand, V2 clutch, crash bars. Chrome on front wheel poor, just needs a little attention. Genuine reason for sale, the reason I am selling it is because I have just had a hip replacement. I have started it 5 times but each time it stops after 30-secs running (suggest needs a good ride/ run or minor attention). It starts again after a few kicks. When it starts it sounds very good with no knocks or rattles and has a nice bark to the exhaust. I think it must have high compression pistons fitted as it is hard to kickover.
If you wish to hear it run, I would suggest that you should come and start it yourself as I am not going to risk my hip more.
I may consider an offer close to advertised price.
I have always wanted a Shadow (who does not?), but now have too many bikes, no room to give it the attention it deserves. It is usable condition, chrome is poor on front wheel. Note: in 1976 the bike had a frame swap now has a matching numbers Rapide frame.
