THE APPEAL
Developed from the Triumph Thunderbird, the 650 cc T110 was the fastest production bike in 1954. With impeccable road manners, a smooth parallel-twin, precise gear change and returning 60 mpg, it is easy to see why this range-topping model was so popular.
Eventually superseded by the Bonneville T120 in 1962, this Coventry built motorcycle was a great success both sides of the Atlantic and is still a very desirable performance bike in Triumph circles.
Restored in 2017 by respected specialist Peter Palmer, this highly original-looking and detailed 1959 model is the one to have. The black and Ivory period colour combination is just gorgeous and with a mere 300 miles or so under it’s belt since completion, mechanically, this Triumph is a dream to ride.
In the owner’s words, this Tiger 110 is “one of the nicest bikes I have ever ridden”.

The ‘buff’ log book reveals that this wonderful looking T110 resided in the Sheffield and Merseyside areas during the 1960’s and ’70’s, and latterly, in Oxfordshire.
The current owner and long-term Triumph enthusiast acquired it in February of this year and recently engaged his motorcycle mechanic to service and tune it. With other bikes to attend to, this beauty is now ready for the next custodian to enjoy.
