Considerably rare in today’s market
The Appeal
Although the marque is now more commonly associated with iconic classic sports cars like the 964 and 930, Porsche’s early history is very much rooted in the agricultural industry. In fact, Ferdinand Porsche is believed to have been designing tractors since the 1930s, although it wouldn’t be until the aftermath of WW2 that the Junior made its debut.
Equipped with power take-off and a rather hardy air-cooled 822cc single cylinder, the Junior 109 offered simplistic, yet dependable operation. As such, these trusty little tractors would prove incredibly popular amongst early consumers, cementing themselves as a legend in their own right.
Having been restored and cherished by the previous keeper, this Junior 109 stands as a truly stunning reminder of some of Porsche’s earliest work. Albeit not quite as fast as a Carrera, this Porsche Diesel Junior 109 would no doubt make a superb collection piece or even a rather rare display vehicle for shows and events.
Includes registration documentation for the new owner
Retains the original chassis plate
Previously restored to a high standard
Ready to be enjoyed
The current keeper informs us that all relevant import duties and fees for this little Porsche Junior have been covered, and the registration documents are at hand for the lucky new keeper. In addition to boasting the relevant paperwork, the tractor also proudly retains its original chassis plate, as can be seen within the included images.
Features the likes of a re-trimmed leather seat, and new hardware
Presented in excellent condition today
Having been restored prior to the current keeper’s ownership, this eye-catching Junior presents itself in excellent condition today, especially for its age. The distinctive red paint covers the entire tractor, and with the exception of slight underside flaking, seems to retain a great deal of its restored finish.
The upholstery and leather seat seemingly also reflects plenty of skilled craftsmanship, offering a very tidy finish with no noteworthy wear & tear. All controls and contact points follow suit, likely benefiting from previous restoration work themselves.
Having covered minimal distance since its restoration work, the wheels & tyres present themselves brilliantly, reflecting minimal age & use. The tractor also sports plenty of refurbished and new hardware components, including new light brackets, and a shiny new tow ball on the rear.
All in all, this is a truly gorgeous little tractor, that will no doubt never fail to attract the attention of keen onlookers wherever it ventures.
Runs and performs brilliantly, with no known faults
Ready to be enjoyed
Buyers will be pleased to know that this tractor is said to perform wonderfully, standing as a shining example of Porsche’s dependable design. The tractor fires up as it should, runs and drives very well, and offers flawless operation across the board, including fully-functioning power take-off.
With excellent mechanical health and previous restoration work under its belt, this Junior 109 no doubt stands as one of the finer surviving examples of the iconic Porsche tractor. It would make a spectacular collection piece and is sure to turn heads wherever it is displayed.
