1967 Fiat 600D 767cc

  • ASI Gold plate certification
  • Excellent condition throughout
  • 767cc drivetrain
  • 75,860Km indicated

The Appeal

Building on the charm and appeal of its ubiquitous 500, Fiat’s 600 offered a smidge more room and slightly more power, but with the same simplicity, cute-as-a-button styling and bella vita attitude.

This lovely example has clearly been restored to a fine standard and well cared for. Complete with ASI Gold certification, if you’re after a fun little classic with all the eagerness and approachability of a Labrador puppy, then this has to be it.

The History and Paperwork

  • First registered in Milan in November 1967
  • ASI Gold plate with accompanying certification
  • Original handbook and registration documents included
  • 75,860Km indicated (five figure odometer)

The Interior

  • Smart tan vinyl seats and door cards with contrasting cream piping look to be in very fine condition, with minimal wear and no damage we could see
  • Fitted black and white, ribbed rubber matting runs through the cabin and looks to be in fine fettle, with no damage or fading
  • The ‘weave design’ vinyl headlining looks very well – with no damage or sagging apparent
  • All of the controls and the instrument binnacle look to be in very good condition, there’s no significant wear we can see at all, just a light and pleasing patina
  • We particularly like the large, thin-rimmed Bakelite steering wheel, which appears to be in excellent order
  • Under the bonnet is a spare wheel and the fuel tank – both of which present very nicely

The Exterior

  • Beige ‘Sabia 583’ paintwork is in excellent condition, with only the lightest of blemishes showing
  • As far as we can tell, all the bodywork is nice and straight and appears to be free from corrosion
  • The brightwork all wears a fine lustre, while none off the external trim or badging seems to be missing or damaged
  • The car is sitting on the correct 12-inch steel wheels, finished with polished hubcaps and a matched set of whitewall tyres, which add a splash of extravagance to the little Italian
  • Underneath, it appears to be very clean and straight, with no evidence of corrosion we could discern
  • Overall, the car presents exceptionally well externally

The Mechanics

  • Rear-mounted, water-cooled 767cc OHV inline-four
  • Four-speed manual transmission (no synchro on first gear)
  • The engine bay is very clean and tidy, with no sign of damage or leaks
  • Many elements of the engine have clearly been refreshed or replaced

If you like your classics to be small but perfectly formed, then this quirky, beautifully finished Italian city car has to be on your radar. It may not win any Grand Prix, but little else has the charm and sheer joy of this delightful 600.

The safest way to buy a classic car online

Car & Classic's secure payment system protects buyers and sellers. At the end of the auction, the winning bidder transfers payment into a third-party escrow account. Once the transfer of the vehicle is complete, both parties confirm they are happy with the sale and the money is released to the seller.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

C&C prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3-minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £10,000 £100.00
£10,000 to £50,000 £250.00
£50,000 to £100,000 £500.00
£100,000+ £1000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.
You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you’re able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
