The Appeal

Recently resprayed in Old English White with a very nicely refurbished and inviting red interior it hard to ignore the charm and character of the Morris Traveller.

They represent 60’s motoring in England perfectly and spread joy and nostalgia wherever and whenever they are seen on the road.

This example is looking great for its age both inside and out and would be a good opportunity for someone looking to own a practical and easy to maintain classic British icon that is ready to be used and enjoyed.

The History and Paperwork

 • First registered in 1968
 • Enthusiast owned
 • Nicely maintained and original
 • V5c present
 • Recently fully refurbished interior
 • Resprayed in Old English White
 • Two sets of keys
 • Handbook
 • Covered very little mileage since 2009

The last few owners have taken the care of this lovely old Morris seriously and it’s been treated to considerable work by re-trimming the interior, giving the car a full respray and caring for the wood, which has all helped towards getting this car to its fine current overall condition.

The Interior

 • Fully refurbished interior
 • Classic and inviting
Having been recently fully refurbished to a high standard the interior is in very good condition throughout, with the red being the perfect contrast to the external paintwork.
The few controls and switches that are on offer here all work and the refurbished seats look inviting and comfortable.

The Exterior

 • Re-sprayed in Old English White
 • Good all-round condition
 • New chrome bumpers
It’s a great colour Old English White which matches the external woodwork and the era of the car very well indeed. There are a few areas of imperfection to be found around the car but not many for a car like this. The wood appears good and solid all round and other than the patina of age that you’ll find on some of the chrome and around some windows, the car really does present very well overall.

It’s believed that one of the previous owners has fitted Morris 7CWT wheels and tyres in place of its original wheels, but otherwise it is completely standard, and the wheels do really suit the car.

The Mechanics

 • Enthusiast owned
 • Well cared for car
 • Starts on the button
There’s no real service history that comes with the car but you can tell it has been cared for over the years and has been well maintained.

Recently, along with a few other mechanical parts such as a fuel pump, battery and the rear bumpers, new distributor internals and caps the car has had a full-service including oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, leads, oil and coolant, with a new fan belt and windscreen washer pump also fitted.

The Summary

A nice presentable example of a quintessentially British classic car, full of character and charm.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
