HIGHLIGHTS
- Replica of a Racing Honda legend
- Built to a high standard
- Tuned CB160 engine
- Some re-commissioning required

THE APPEAL
Introduced to the American market in 1964, the Honda CB160 is a close relationship to the double overhead cam 125cc CR93 production racer of 1962 and ’63 and is equally tuneable and user friendly. Described as a “resilient piece of Honda engineering” and “jewel-like”, the lightweight CR93 is a natural choice for competition use.
Based on a highly tuned CB160, this replica has been built to a high standard and is virtually identical to the real thing. It has been dry-stored and used for display purposes over the last 6-7 years, and as such, will require some re-commissioning before it can be ridden.
The vendor informs us that it turns over, has good compression, and was sympathetically restored in some areas whilst the build was undertaken but “it will require further work to finish the build”.
This lightweight racer certainly looks the business and is a fantastic homage to the innovative development of Honda’s competition engineers and the subsequent on-track successes.
