The Appeal
This Alfasud ti is a fantastic example of a car you could happily buzz about in every day of the week. Its 1.5-litre boxer engine provides excellent performance in a lightweight bodyshell, a winning combination.
This particular example was sold new in the Netherlands, where it remains to this day. The paintwork has been resprayed and the original two-tone cloth upholstery is in beautiful condition.
So if you’re looking for a practical daily classic then you can’t go far wrong with this Alfasud.

- Lamp lenses clear and bright
- A stylish set of Speedline alloy wheels suits the car perfectly, and they appear to be in good condition, with a little grazing
- They are fitted with a matching set of Michelin tyres, which all retain 7mm of tread
The Mechanics

- The gearbox changes gear smoothly
- The engine starts easily and there is no untoward smoke or noises
- No reported oil or coolant leaks
- The brakes are said to operate well, with a hard pedal, but there is a brake fluid leak reported

- Underneath, the running gear and suspension appear to be in good condition
Summary
In all, this Alfasud is a superb example of this desirable boxer-engined ‘80s rocket. The car is an extremely appealing model, which could easily be used as a daily driver or simply enjoyed on sunny drives in the countryside.
