The Appeal
The Porsche 924 the first of a range of transaxle cars that changed not only the Porsche image but also enhanced the opportunities for the dealer network. Firstly, the 924 was the entry-level car for those wanting the Porsche badge, that was more than competitive in a very competitive market place, but it was not long before there was a waiting list throughout the dealer network.
However, it was far from a basic-level machine as it was a true sporty icon with good handling and excellent cross country driving appeal
The UK spec cars received the much more flexible and modified version that pushed out 123-BHP. The 2 litre 4 cylinder engine mated to the Bosch K-Jetronic injection system, making it a very respectable performer. This one has benefitted from a very stringent maintenance regime with a huge pile of invoices to prove it.
A whole pile of past MOT certificates shows the minimal mileage
Hand-written account of work undertaken over several years
The original book pack is present
Original service book is present showing last service at 30,294 miles
Porsche owner’s club wallet
A Porsche Certificate of Production dated 1985.
Copies of adverts placed when sold in the past by reputable dealers including one from 2009 which described the car as showing 20.000 miles and as being probably one of the best available, It probably still is.
The sleek and beautiful Porsche 924 has all the credentials for a true sports coupe. With an engine in the front that drives the rear wheels giving near 50-50 weight distribution, this is a true sporting Porsche. Many have belittled the use of the VW-derived 4-cylinder motor but it has had Porsche’s expertise in reworking the cylinder head as well as being mated to the K-Jetronic injection system, making it a respectable performer especially at it was freed of the US legislation that strangled the export version.
This one in particular is quite frankly a stunning example. It is clear to see how well it has been cared for and the sheer volume of invoices and MOT certificates simply enforce what we already know, that this little 924 is a little belter. As can be often said, “Find me another one like it”. I think you may struggle

About Max Bids
The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.
Anti-sniping
Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.
Auto-bidding increments
If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
