The Appeal

Arguably the most iconic vehicle of all time, the Mini is a car that many enthusiasts and collectors hold dear.

The Mini helped shape the front-wheel-drive market of today, has an incredible motorsport presence, and has been forever immortalized in automotive history. It’s a vehicle that deserves to be driven by any enthusiast and proves to be an excellent collection piece for many collectors.
This particular Rover Mini is of course one of the last models produced prior to BMW’s takeover and modern transformation. As such, you’re treated to arguably one of the finer designs of the classic, along with improved driveability and technology.

This little Mini also shows a very impressive mileage figure of just 38,152 miles and presents itself in fantastic condition here today.

If you’re looking for a low mileage, brilliantly styled example of the classic we all love, this 1994 Rover Mini Sprite is the one for you.

The History and Paperwork

  • Partial service history
  • V5C document present
  • Long MOT until September 2023
  • Just 38k on the clock
  • Original booklets included
  • Spare key
This quirky little Mini has covered just 38 thousand miles throughout its lifetime, as supported by the figures recorded on included previous MOT certificates.

Over the years, it would seem the vehicle has been well maintained with regular servicing.

Although the vehicle doesn’t appear to have required much in the way of major repairs over the years, the car has had notable welding work within the last month.

In order to meet the previous MOT fail’s defects, this Mini was treated with repairs to the front & rear suspension mounting components and has since received a clean bill of health.

Now, this little Sprite awaits its next home, where it will no doubt make a fantastic weekend toy or collection piece.

The Interior

  • 3-spoke steering wheel
  • Kenwood head unit
  • Fitted with an aftermarket amp
  • Aftermarket speakers
  • On board fire extinguisher
  • Excellent condition
  • Spare wheel included
The interior of this Rover Mini presents itself very well, with only a few very minor signs of wear and age.

In keeping with the mileage, the driver’s seat shows only the slightest wear, while both the front and rear passenger seats reflect few less use, with no noticeable defects.
Both door cards follow suit, with seemingly only incredibly minor blemishes. Carpeting throughout the cabin also appears to have been very well preserved, and now shows a near-wear-free finish.

The headliner, on the other hand, does show notable tears and staining near both sun visors towards the front of the vehicle. That being said, this is seemingly the only major defect within the interior, and can likely be rectified without great cost.
As keen-eyed viewers may have already spotted from the photographs, this Mini’s interior does boast a few tasty upgrades including a snazzy dashboard, voltmeter, and Kenwood head unit.

There’s also an aftermarket amp in the boot, along with upgraded speakers on the parcel shelf and behind both front seats.

The Exterior

  • Two-tone exterior
  • MK7 styling
  • Excellent condition
  • Stainless sump guard
  • Red calipers & drums

Although enthusiasts have their own personal preferences, the Rover design for the MK7 Mini is arguably one of the sportiest to date.

You’re given the signature side profile, with sporty arches and slightly more square edges.
This particular example shows off the design well, utilizing a two-tone exterior to its advantage. Whilst the paintwork is believed to be its original finish, the roof appears to be a vinyl wrap, which may very well be removable if the candy red isn’t to your tastes.

The paintwork appears to have held up rather well over the years, and seemingly now shows only a few minor blemishes. These include the typical front-end speckles, a tiny dent just below the rear registration plate, and slight bubbling near the arches.
Rounding out the vehicle’s aesthetics, are the ever-so-timeless 8-spoke 13” wheels. The wheels are in great condition for their age, and seemingly show only minor flaking and marks to the lips, barrels, and faces.

The Mechanics

  • Twin SU carbs
  • 1275cc 4-cylinder
  • Stainless steel exhaust
  • Recent welding completed as per MOT defects
  • Long MOT until September 2023
  • Drives brilliantly
Buyers will be pleased to know that this 1275cc Mini is said to fire up right away, and happily performs exactly as intended, with no known faults.

In addition to the interior upgrades, there are a couple of mechanical modifications to note too, such as the twin SUs, and the stainless steel exhaust.

With a long MOT until next September and no issues to note, this little Mini is ready to hit the roads, where it will no doubt impress with its fantastic handling and characterful power delivery.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
